In the course of the last several years, our humble project has been fortunate to have the generous support of many donors. We wouldn’t be here without that essential funding and as always, we’d like to thank everyone who has supported the project.

Today, however, we would like to extend special recognition to four institutions who recently stepped forward on very short notice to provide critical funds to ensure continuity in what has been a very busy and important period for the project.

Recently, Bill Swanson from the Cincinnati Zoo (a true friend of the project and tireless supporter) reached out to a network of zoos in the US with a special request for contributions to help us purchase a telemetry receiver and 6 new collars to continue our in-depth study of fishing cat movements and interactions at Khao Sam Roi Yod National Park. A year ago, we never envisioned using up our first 6 collars so quickly—but it has been a busy spring!

Four funders stepped forward and pledged what we needed to cover (and even slightly exceed) the cost of the equipment and we are happy to report that it is already in hand and ready to be fielded during our next capture round.
