Hobbes appeared as a caring and concerned kitten when his/her (we're not sure which!) brother Calvin was captured. Together with mom-Wishbone, they both kept a vigil around the trap the entire night Calvin was in the trap. In our picture and video traps we saw Hobbes trying to rescue Calvin by first climbing on top to look for an escape hatch and then by digging around the edges of the trap in the mud. When these attempts failed, Hobbes sat on top of the trap to keep Calvin company.
Hobbes appeared on camera traps a few more occasions around the family's resting area but we have not seen this individual since early March.
