This spring, we've spent a fair amount of time working on this website and lining up other plans to expand the scope of the project's primary themes: encouraging conservationists and policy-makers to take a closer look at the plight of fishing cats. We plan to do this by publicizing our field activities and findings as much as possible through this website, newspaper articles, articles in popular conservation magazines, and maybe a documentary on fishing cat ecology and conservation. A lot of work has gone into making the website a fun and informative site. We have tried to include as much interactive content as possible as well as serving up basic project documentation, reports, etc. Upcoming plans include an interactive map where visitors can contribute data on fishing cat occurrence and other data-rich interactive maps of our field sites. We will also be starting a series to showcase the broader efforts of our funders and collaborators. Pete Cutter Project Communications |
